In a limited time he trained 5 officers as spotters and B.L.O’s to work on H.M.A.S. ‘Swan’, ‘Dubbo’, ‘Colac’, and ‘Deloraine’ in ops against Wewak and personally acted as B.L.O. for raids and bombardments on Kairiru and Mushu Islands softening enemy defences and silencing many coastal guns.
