Always in touch with forward Infantry he personally ensured maximum support from his Regt was available and accuracy of artillery fire was a marked factor in the success of these operations. Lieutenant-Colonel Bleby’s courage and enthusiasm won him the complete confidence of all.” – Gazetted Citation.
