86th AGM & ANNUAL LUNCHEON 1939 – 2025 Sunday 26 October 2025 1130 – 1600 hrs Waverley RSL “Sunset Room” (lift to 1st floor) We wish to make our 86th Regimental AGM & Luncheon one to remember by having as many descendant Children/Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren attend to support the Association and to keep the ideals our forebears fought so hard for us and all Australians. The Association will again subsidise the luncheon and keep to the same pricing as the past few years of $35.00 per person to encourage your attendance. (In 2015 the price per person was $50.00!!) Please advise your attendance for catering purposes with payment to: Treasurer Kim Taunt – [email protected] no later than 22 October 2025 Payment to: 2/2 Field Regiment Association BSB: 063 001 Account: 0090 2130 PLEASE ENSURE TO USE YOUR NAME IN REFERENCE PANEL. “YOUR SUPPORT ENSURES THE ASSOCIATION’S SURVIVAL” Greek Campaign WWII War Medal  The President of Australian Hellenic Memorial Melbourne, Mr Steve Kyritsis OAM has advised our Association that the Greek Government has informed him that he has permission to search for the remaining approximate 90 families yet to be acknowledged with the award of the Greek Campaign War Medal WWII 1940-41.
Of the 17,000 Australians to serve in Greece and Crete in WWII, Steve has been pivotal in striving to ensure the descendants / families are recognised with the award. As such, if you believe that your forebear has not been awarded the Greek Campaign War Medal (see photo) and is entitled to the award you are encouraged to contact Steve (also details below) and he will research whether it has been previously awarded or not. The last awards were presented in late 2023 at a beautiful ceremony in Melbourne and it is currently expected that the next presentation will be held in 2027. What you need to do:
