Anzac - The Greek Chapter

Thursday 17 October and Sunday 27 October 2024 saw the screening of the film documentary - ANZAC The Greek Chapter - at the Como Center in Melbourne as part of the Greek Film Festival.

So popular was the documentary that a second theater was booked to show the film! The documentary tells the story of Hitlers invasion of Greece, the incredible efforts to defend Greece by our Anzac's along side their Greek comrades, including our 2/2nd Field Regiment veterans and the amazing hospitality and generosity of the Greeks. With first hand accounts given of the battles that were fought by our veterans this is a raw and at times emotional telling of what really happened in Greece and Crete.

Thank you to our members of the 2/2nd Field Regiment Association who showed their support in attending this event. You can check out the photos below to see who came along.

The Association is looking at the possibility and feasibility with other groups of coordinating further viewings at locations around Victoria if there is enough interest from our members and the community.
